Who are you?

We are looking for an NPD Officer for our QA department.
As an NPD Officer you play an essential role in the development process of new products. You are also responsible for various tasks aimed at assessing, developing and optimizing working methods, techniques and procedures. This is to promote the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of Dedert IJs BV. You will set up and implement projects based on sales and/or production proposals related to product and process development.

Your profile:

  • 3 – 5 years of work experience;
  • Good communicative skills;
  • You have insight and knowledge of quality management processes and
  • knowledge of BRC/IFS;
  • Be able to apply written information, legislation and regulations in product specifications
  • You can work independently and prioritize tasks;
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime when necessary;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and software. Preferably Business Central
  • 365/Navision;
  • good command of Dutch, English and German language.

What will you be doing?

As an NPD Officer at Dedert IJs BV you get the opportunity to combine your creativity and passion for food innovation in a dynamic and stimulating working environment. You will be busy with the following tasks:

  • Assessing and developing/optimizing practices, techniques, methods and procedures to promote quality, efficiency and effectiveness, based on assignments and developments in the field.
  • Setting up and implementing projects based on project proposals for sales and/or production relating to product and process development.
    Generating and developing new concepts for products and processes in collaboration with sales.
  • Translating development assignments into a project design and realizing the projects by conducting research/tests with various laboratory and test production equipment.
  • Assessing and interpreting results and discussing findings with clients.
  • Participate in consultations with sales, purchasing and production regarding product and process development, including cost price reduction.
  • Advising and providing instructions about (new/adapted) products and processes to production and quality employees.
  • Drawing up and managing/keeping up to date specifications in the relevant (ERP and quality) systems.
  • Editing data according to authorities and answering quality-related questions internally and externally.
  • Reporting and feedback of quality checks carried out to those involved.
  • Correctly completing supplier and customer portals in the absence of QA.
  • Preparing various reports for both internal stakeholders (management) and external stakeholders (governments, certification bodies).
    Analyzing shortcomings and identifying special features.
