To be eligible for the position of Purchaser at Dedert IJs BV within the logistics department, you must meet the following job requirements:

• Analytically strong with an eye for details and long-term strategy;
• Experience in using ERP systems where MS Business Central 365 or Navision is an advantage;
• Experience in using MS Office (365);
• Strong negotiator with good numerical insight;
• Enterprising personality with good communication and social skills;
• Good command of the English and German language.

What will you be doing?

In the position of buyer you are responsible for purchasing a wide range of raw materials and services for use in the production of water ice. You will also look at developments and new possibilities in the field of raw materials, packaging materials and services for our products. Your primary objective is to have all raw materials and packaging materials available on time and under optimal conditions. This ensures continuity in the production process of Dedert IJs, the maintenance of the correct stock positions and the continuity of the development process. For new raw materials, packaging materials and services, you check whether these can create commercial added value for both Dedert IJs and its customers.

In the position of Purchaser you will carry out the following activities:

• You negotiate prices and delivery conditions with suppliers of raw materials, packaging materials and services. If agreements are deviated from, you proactively take appropriate actions. You combine maintaining relationships with your suppliers with monitoring their performance based on us;
• vendor rating system. This strengthens the image of Dedert IJs as a leading buyer of high-quality raw materials. You regularly travel within the Netherlands and Europe to visit relations, seminars and trade fairs and thus follow developments in the supply chain;
• You anticipate developments that (may) have consequences for the availability of essential materials. You also identify new alternatives that further strengthen Dedert IJs’ position on a technological or strategic level. You proactively share your insights with those involved within the Management Team, Production, Sales and NPD. You work with these colleagues to obtain approval to use alternative materials in existing and new products.

In this position you will manage the material planner/contract manager and report to the Supply Chain Manager, with whom you will work closely.
